English Camp teachers must obtain a C4 visa or have a camp work permit added on an E2 or E1 visa.

Eligible Applicants for C4 visa.
For people who plan to stay for 90 days or less with the intention of profiting from commercials, fashion modeling, lectures, research, the instruction of new technology, teaching English etc.
English camp teacher’s visa (C4) Processing
Once you take a job with English camp, you need to apply for a C4 visa at the nearest Korean consulate with the required visa documents. Some Korean consulates do not process C4 visas for a traveler, so you MUST contact the Korean consulate before you apply for the C4 visa and ask whether they process one or not.
Required visa documents vary among the Korean consulate worldwide and you must contact the nearest Korean consulate to get the confirmed visa documents needed to submit.

1. Apostilled Bachelor or higher degree for Americans, British, Australians, New Zealanders, and South Africans or Notarized Bachelor or higher degree with Korean consulate seal for Canadians
2. Apostilled Original National Criminal Background Check for Americans, British, Australians, New Zealanders, and South Africans or Notarized Original National Criminal Background check (RCMP or CPIC) with Korean consulate seal for Canadians
– must get the apostille or the consulate seal on the original CBC and be older than 6 months
3. University sealed transcript

step6 Employer visa documents from camp organization will be sent to you

2. Letter of invitation
3. Copy of the employer’s business registration
4. Copy of employer’s certificate of registration as a continuing education facility (“pyeong-saeng gyo-yuk si-seol deung-nok-jeung” 평생고용시설등록증)
5. Camp or teaching schedule

step7 Apply for a C4 visa at the Korean consulate with the required visa items

1. Completed visa application form (download)
2. One recent passport-type white background colour photo (3.5*4.5 size)
3. Original and a photocopy of passport (remaining validity of at least 6 months)
4. Flight itinerary issued by a travel agency or an airline.
5. Visa fee
6. Additional items required for English camp teacher’s visa (C4)
A. Apostilled Bachelor or higher degree for Americans, British, Australians, New Zealanders, and South Africans or Notarized Bachelor or higher degree with Korean consulate seal for Canadians
B. step9 Arrive in Korea and starting teaching at a camp program
Adding camp work permit on E2 or E1 visa.
Teachers who are already in Korea with E2 or E1 visa can apply as a camp teacher during the public school’s summer and winter vacation, but teachers MUST add a camp work permit to their teacher’s E2 or E1 visa.

step6 Visiting immigration in Korea and apply for a work permit to be added to E2 or E1 visa.
