Nationality You must have citizenship and a valid passport from one of the following English-speaking countries. Australia, Britain, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United States



Education You must have a bachelors level degree, or greater, from an accredited university or college-all majors and disciplines are accepted but two year college graduates are not allowed to obtain a work visa.
Native English Speaker
You must be a native English speaker to teach English in Korea. That means English should be your first spoken language. You will provide supporting documentation which verifies you have completed your education in English since grade 7 and onwards and within one of the 7 designated English speaking countries outlined by the Korean Ministry of Justice (Immigration)
Criminal History – With No record on a criminal background
Your visa confirmation number might be granted from the immigration even though you have blemishes on your background report. That it is up the immigration discretion. Therefore, SeoulESL strongly advises that applicants should have a clean criminal abstract. That is no charges, arrests, or convictions can appear on your criminal record check. We regret to inform applicants with drinking and driving related charges on your application will not be accepted.
Healthy Mentally and physically
If you are in good physical and mental health and able to pass a medical exam and test, you will be screened for existing medical conditions as well as drug-screened for illegal drugs. All teachers are required to submit a health statement form to the Korean Immigration to secure your visa. If you have any health problems please inform the SeoulESL representative that you are working with. Also teachers will complete a health check at a designated medical clinic in Korea upon arrival. If you do not pass the health exam, your visa will be cancelled.
